Day 29 "Resting Sunflower II"

"Resting Sunflower II"
7x5 Oil framed $150
Renee Brennan

I previously painted this sunflower
and it had sold a couple years ago.
Unlike all this dreary cold weather, I thought a
colorful flower would be welcome.
I'm ready for Spring!  Aren't  you?

SO now it IS 1 day  left of the 30 Paintings in 30 Day's Challenge.

Day 28 "Little Ceramic Bird"

"Little Ceramic Bird"
5x7 oil
Renee Brennan

Day 28 - This little bird was supposed to be a quick study using
only 4 colors.  Well wouldn't ya know it, there were about 50 colors
in this little guy.  Painting shiny white objects is crazy difficult!
Anyway he is supposed to be a little salt shaker and I had painted
a little hole on top of his head...it looked like another eye
so I rubbed it out...maybe I will try him again tomorrow.
Naaaa probably not.

Day 28 means only 2 more day's of this
by Leslie Saeta.  Thank you in advance Leslie!!

Day 27 - "Pussy Willow's in Tenmoku Tea Bowl"

"Pussy Willow's in Tenmoku Tea Bowl"
6x8 Oil $200 double frame
Renee Brennan

Day 27 of 30 Paintings in 30 Day's Challenge.

Had to skip a couple day's of posting but was actually
working on this piece...so can I count it as Day's 25 & 26?
Ahhh who's counting anyway?

About this set up -  I have had these bunch of pussy willows for
quite awhile wanting to paint them.  Interesting that they don't really
die, and keep shedding the little bud shells.
The Tenmoku Tea Bowl I had painted one like it before in
Abbey Ryan's workshop.  She get's them from her pottery friend
Jury Smith who has a nice online shop called Bottle & Bowl.
They are really beautiful pieces of art!

 Another marble from the jar.
I never really noticed this one before,
but it is a really pretty one.

Day 21 - "Bottle's and Reflections" a study SOLD

"Bottles and Reflections"  a study
14x11 Acrylic
Renee Brennan

Day 21 - Life got in the way of painting today,
SO today is a throwback painting from about 2 yrs ago.
I remember painting this outside on my deck while it was
very sunny.  Silly me what was I thinking?  Of course you
know that the light/ reflections/ shadows ...everything
changes by the minute...not to mention my own moving
reflection IN the bottles...crazy...but fun!

Only 9 more day's in the 30 paintings in 30 day's Challenge.

Day 20 "Stoneware Beer Bottle, Book and a Pear" SOLD

"Stoneware Beer Bottle, Book and a Pear"
12 x 15 Oil $300 framed
Renee Brennan

Day 20 - Of 30 Paintings in 30 Day's Challenge.

I spent time finishing this piece from November.
The bottle I painted then was off,  so I carved the left
side in to make it more symmetrical.
However when looking at
the actual bottle closer,  I realized it was OK as it was.
These bottles aren't perfectly shaped.
They are imperfect with little ripples, bumps and glaze drip marks.
Wonderful, really.

SOLD!

Day 19 "Three Marbles"

"Three Marbles"
6x6 Oil $70

So much fun painting these!
It reminds me of playing them

Day 18 "Three Grapes in Sun #2"

"Three Grapes in Sun #2"
6x8 oil $150 framed
Renee Brennan

Day 18 of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge by Leslie Saeta.

Not a great pic of this one,
I am having a difficult time with the glare
from the paints.  Really the background is a bit darker in person.
If anyone has some tips for that, it would be much welcome.

This was done alla prima,
which means painting wet on wet and in one sitting.
I did go back the next day to fix a couple teensy spots,
so hope that counts!

Let me know what you think either in comments below
OR on my FB page.
